Also searched for as cement pipe, RCC pipe or "dhal ko pipe" - spun reinforced-concrete pipes manufactured in Ratnanagar, Chitwan, from 150mm to 1200mm diameter for drainage, culverts, sewerage and irrigation.
RCC stands for Reinforced Cement Concrete. A Hume pipe (also called a spun pipe) is manufactured by placing a steel reinforcement cage inside a mould and spinning it at high speed while concrete is added - centrifugal force compacts the concrete evenly against the mould wall, producing a dense, uniform pipe wall. In Nepal, the same product is informally referred to by different names - cement pipe, RCC pipe, or "dhal ko pipe" - but the underlying specification depends on class, diameter, reinforcement and the applicable standard.
The lighter-duty class, suited to gravity drainage, irrigation lines and applications without heavy surface traffic loading.
The medium-duty class, with higher reinforcement, used under roads and in culverts where traffic and surcharge loads are higher.
We manufacture to NP2 and NP3. We do not publish classes we do not produce or certify.
Standard pipe length is 2.5 m. If your BOQ needs a diameter or class outside this list, send it to our technical sales team.
| Nominal Diameter | Equivalent (inch) | Class | Standard Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| 150 mm | 6" | NP2 / NP3 | 2.5 m |

| 300 mm | 12" | NP2 / NP3 | 2.5 m |
| 450 mm | 18" | NP2 / NP3 | 2.5 m |
| 600 mm | 24" | NP2 / NP3 | 2.5 m |
| 750 mm | 30" | NP2 / NP3 | 2.5 m |
| 900 mm | 36" | NP2 / NP3 | 2.5 m |
| 1000 mm | 40" | NP2 / NP3 | 2.5 m |
| 1200 mm | 48" | NP2 / NP3 | 2.5 m |
Hume pipe classes in Nepal are manufactured to the same governing standard (IS 458:1988). Triveni's pipes meet these standard parameters - exact wall-thickness and reinforcement figures for your diameter are confirmed on request.

Steel reinforcement cages are fabricated to the size required for each class and diameter.
The cage is placed inside the mould before concrete is added.
The mould is spun at speed so centrifugal force compacts the concrete evenly against the wall.
Pipes are demoulded, cured, dimensionally checked and dispatched.
Because the IS 458 specification is shared industry-wide, the real difference between suppliers is production discipline. Our process includes:
Cross-drainage under roads and highways.
Stormwater and municipal drainage systems.
Concrete pipe systems for irrigation projects.
Government and contractor infrastructure projects.
We don't publish a fixed price list, since diameter, class, quantity and delivery location all affect the final quotation. For the latest project price, send us the required diameter, class, quantity and delivery location.
